Feasibility of a nested PCR for the diagnosis of Trichomonas vaginalis infection in women a Wasit Province, Iraq

This study was concerned the describe of an current PCR method for specific detection Tichomonas vaginalis DNA into a rapid nested assay, and to estimate recent prevalence T. according studying different factors that effect on vaginal trichomoniasis in women complaining discharge. Vaginal swab samples were collected from 100 patients lived at Wasit province, during period January, 2022 July, 2022. Demographic data, clinical socioeconomic status using structured questionnaire. Total genomic isolated randomly chosen PCR. All examined by direct microscopic examination (wet mount). The swabs wet mount detect presence vaginalis. Of women, 29 positive giving rate (29%) with mount) showed 4/100 (4 %) case. Their ages different. Women aged (20-30)years had significantly higher (14%) than other age groups.
